Totarol is a compound extracted from the heart of the totara tree – due to its antimicrobial and potent antioxidant activity, it makes the tree highly resistant. That is why the totara tree is one of the giant tree species in the forests of New Zealand. It is a member of the Gondwanaland floral association, collectively known as Podocarps. This took shape approximately 135-195 million years ago in the Jura period. Totarol is isolated from the repurposed totara tree with a super critical solvent-free method – this organic process does not damage the trees

Initially, Totarol was used as a preservative in DRHAZI cosmetics due to its antimicrobial properties so we could protect the oils from oxidative stress and rancidity. A few years ago, they discovered the beneficial properties of Totarol and today, the therapeutic dosage of Totarol is now the basis of DRHAZI skin renewal.
